Today, the 2025 Ningbo Overseas E-commerce Expo kicks off. It provides a platform for foreign trade enterprises, cross-border sellers and platforms to exchange resources, helping enterprises expand their business and break through the US tariff barriers, as well as explore diverse markets.
Around 10:30 in the morning, in Hall 3 of the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center, at the booth of Zhejiang Aoli Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Business Director Li Zhihu was busy negotiating with cross-border sellers. The company mainly produces smart home products such as functional single chairs, smart beds, and multi-person sofas, with about 60% of its exports going to the United States. Li Zhihu said that previously, half of their orders from the United States were suspended. Currently, they are seizing the low-tariff window period to ship the goods. At this exhibition, they brought several new products developed independently for display, hoping to expand their customer base with high-value-added products and further break through the North American market. "We want to recommend some of our newly developed products to our customers and vigorously promote them. For example, electrically-assisted sleep rocking chairs, walking massage chairs, walking elderly chairs, etc. The technology content is very high and they have their own patents. They are a completely new product in the industry. For the time being, they are exported to the United States, and in the near future, there should be about ten sets of cabinets exported."
While foreign trade enterprises are constantly strengthening their internal capabilities and enhancing their products, cross-border sellers are also actively adjusting their business directions. Aoduo (Ningbo) Technology Co., Ltd. sells home and automotive products on the Amazon platform in the United States. General Manager Chen Jun said that during this period, they have been making adjustments to their industrial layout. Attending this conference is also to find some suitable product source factories. "If some products do not have obvious advantages in the US market, they may be transferred to other markets such as Europe for production. We previously had over 80% of our business in the US market, but now it has dropped to around 60%. We have started from trading and now transitioning to cross-border e-commerce. We also have many European customer resources, supply chain resources, and warehousing resources. We know which products will sell well in Europe, so it's relatively easier to make the transition."
This year, the Ningbo Cross-Border Trade Expo specially introduced 36 high-quality emerging cross-border e-commerce platforms, facilitating foreign trade enterprises and cross-border sellers to utilize these platforms to explore new markets. eMAG is the leading retail platform in Eastern Europe, covering Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary. Senior招商 Manager Hu Chuxi said, "Currently, among the 50,000 sellers on the platform, Chinese sellers account for less than 10%. This can open up a blue ocean market for Chinese foreign trade enterprises and cross-border sellers in the European cross-border e-commerce sector. Currently, there is no Amazon in Eastern Europe. By making early arrangements in some emerging markets, one can choose eMAG. Because these three countries have the following advantages: the first one has very stable policies, the second one is a 'Belt and Road' country, and it has very close cooperation with us. It is a good choice."
It is known that as the "first cross-border exhibition in East China", this year's Ningbo Cross-Border Expo lasts for three days, with an exhibition area of 70,000 square meters. It attracts 2,500 high-quality foreign trade factories, 36 cross-border e-commerce platforms, and 190 service enterprises to participate. The total attendance of the exhibition reaches 90,000 people.
